Bada: an open mobile platform from Samsung

It was learned that the company is developing its own open mobile platforms. The platform was named Bada, which in Korean means "ocean". Details of the new platform should be released in December this year.

According to preliminary data the new platform focused on the budget model vehicles. The platform will create specialized applications for low-cost mobile phones, which can be convenient for integration operators own services. Already this year, Samsung will offer developers SDK. The first device on the new platform will appear in the first half of next year.

To meet consumer demand, the company will not abandon the strategy for the production of devices on different operating systems. Thus, the company does not intend to renounce its partnership with Microsoft, in addition, it is worth recalling that the company is a member of the Symbian Foundation, as well as is the Open Handset Alliance.
