Amazon 3D smartphone coming soon

Speculation about an upcoming smartphone signed Amazon started again in recent days and some details have leaked on the web.

If there is a well expected to turn on the smartphone market actor is Amazon. Rumors speculating about his ambitions in this area date back several years. In 2013, several reports gave the impression that the cyber-profit working in partnership with HTC to produce two terminals. One of them placing on the high end would feature a 3D interface and an eye tracking technology with 6 sensors. Last month, a spotted Information The paper suggested that cyber-merchant market them this year and the Wall Street Journal recently confirmed this information.

According to information collected by BRG , Amazon plainchant well on both smartphones. The high-end terminal would have a 4.7-inch slab but does provide a definition in 720p. It is powered by a Snapdragon chip (unspecified model) and host 2 GB of RAM. Previous reports made mention of a 801 Snapdragon.

The unit would have good 6 cameras whose main sensor is 13 megapixels coupled to a conventional front camera. Four others, supported by various sensors are located at the four corners of the machine front and would achieve rendering 3D auto stereoscopic or without special glasses. The device inserted within a protective shell deliberately hiding its final design, made its appearance in images.

Unsurprisingly, Amazon would use Fire OS, the Android fork already on its Kindle Fire HD / HDX and it would be optimized at several levels to display 3D elements. To notably wallpapers and more dynamic applications specially optimized, particularly with regard to the rendering of buildings in the mapping service.

Amazon would also optimized its stores to allow users to see more realistic images of products and to display details not visible in 2D. Then it is sufficient to tilt the screen of the device. The 3D effect is also applied to different system icons, I must say that the carousel shelves Kindle Fire lends itself quite well already.

In addition, the company would provide to publish a special development kit to third-party developers so they can actually take advantage of all these new features and optimize their applications.

In the United States, the company will embark his MayDay system service 24/7 support made directly videoconference with Amazon adviser. The device could be announced later this summer.

The phone uses a glass and metal body. The back cover and the front of the screen is topped with tough - but not of Gorilla variety - glass. Knight A350 has a slim - and a little tall - profile. The tall profile means it is not as wide as some other 5-inch phones out in the market.

Motorola Moto G Review

Moto G, is new Android device displaying ambitious performance for very affordable prices.

Moto G A screen of 4.5 inches with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (329 ppi), a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 400 1.2 GHz, 1 GB RAM photos 1.3 and 5 megapixel sensors, 2070 mAh battery and connectivity Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n and Bluetooth 4.0: Moto G has specifications that make it a mid-range smartphone particularly interesting.

Moto G also has interchangeable covers Shells Motorola as the manufacturer already offers for Moto X. Flip shells Shells available in seven colors allow mobile users to give a personal touch to their terminal.

The smartphone, which will have its release of Android 4.3 - an update to Android 4.4 KitKat is already scheduled for January 2014 - not, however, have the support of 4G, and does not include drive memory card, which limits its ability to 8 or 16 GB depending on the model.

To recap on the features, the Motorola Moto G is an entry level smartphone and offers:

    - Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat after updating the out of the box
    - IPS Screen 4.5 "
    - HD resolution of 1280 × 720 (326dpi)
    - Processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core clocked at 1.2 hz
    - GPU Adreno 305
    - 8GB or 16GB of internal memory
    - 1GB of RAM
    - Camera with 5 megapixels sensor
    - Record videos in 720p HD
    - Video camera with a 1.3 megapixel sensor
    - 3G/3G +, H +
    - WiFi a / b / g / n
    - Port MicroSIM
    - Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS
    - Port MHL MicroUSB incompatible or SlimPort
    - Battery 2070 mAh
    - Size 129.9 × 65.9 × 11.6 mm
    - Weight 143g.

As you can imagine, at the packaging, it is fairly standard and takes what we usually see. We thus find eternal USB charger, headphones / hands-free kits, plus instructions for use for the first grip. For cons, I'm not sure why Motorola chose rather not propose a separate Micro-USB cable USB charger, the price difference in production must be ridiculous compared to the charger supplied.

The Design

Remember, when testing the Moto X, I had doubts about the overall finish of the latter and I was more than reassured. Well, it was the same thing with the Moto G. Indeed, with a minimum price of Rs.12,499.00, I do not expect much, but I was immediately reassured once the smartphone hand. Without reaching the level of its big brother, the Motorcycle G is doing pretty well with final quality plastics and soft-touch coating on the back quite nice. For cons, I reproach him probably the general thickness and weight, too heavy for this format. But at this price point, these two flaws are easily forgivable.

The grip remains ultimately pleasant and found a very similar design to the Moto X, and as for the latter, rounded brackets at the front and in the back corner. We also find high-bevelled edge at the back for those who tend to place the index finger on the upper back. In fact, what has surprised me the most is the feeling of having a high-end smartphone when compared directly to other smartphones in the same segment.

On the front, there is the top of the screen with a speaker on the left the video camera and 1.3-megapixel sensor and the right proximity sensors and light. LED notification between the video camera and speaker are found. There is nothing on the left edge while the right slice, you will find the classic volume buttons and the sleep button and / or power. On the bottom edge, you will find the Micro-USB port (not compatible SlimPort or MHL) and one of the two microphones. On the top edge, there is a second microphone with 3.5mm jack. And finally, at the back you will find the 5 megapixel camera with its LED flash just above and below again, the Motorola logo. Beside the APN is multimedia speaker.

For inserting the Micro-SIM, back retires (with difficulty) and thus reveals the left edge Micro-SIM port. You will also discover that the battery is unfortunately not replaceable, at least by the general public. With an interchangeable back, so you can have a little more color than the eternal black of the base shell.

The screen and sound
With such a low price, one of the other fears I had necessarily involved the screen. To have tested a lot of entry-level smartphones where you could find screens to limit resistive, the Moto G is simply excellent with more accurate colors, good brightness, wide viewing angles and above HD resolution. I remind you that the input range of the wonderful world of Android smartphones are more likely to offer a resolution of 800 × 480 than 1280 × 720. This is a very pleasant surprise that side. It could possibly blame too big for my taste screen edges.

While manufacturers are focused around the 4G, even for entry-level smartphones, Motorola has chosen to ignore the 4G and offers "only" 3G/3G +. Given the current deployment of 4G and the lack of truly innovative service somewhere "4G only" are for the time of the test, I could easily do without the 4G. By cons, in the specifications, I can only advise you to opt for the 16GB model because our test model, the 8GB version only offer the final just over 5GB of space to use . As more and there is no port Micro SD, you may feel cramped very quickly with the 8GB version.

As for Moto X, Moto G offers Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat (after upgrading from Android 4.3) with a slight overlay manufacturer. At almost exactly, one might think that this is a smartphone Google Edition (also available in the United States). Basically, apart from the news we can find on the Google Nexus 5 as Google Now panel on the left, you'll be on familiar ground. The differences will be located mainly in software additions like Motorola Migrate allows to import the contents of your old smartphone to the Motorola Moto G or Assist allows you to define user profiles. Note that the version on the Moto G is somehow a light version of that found on the Moto X because there is not all functions.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 review

The Super AMOLED HD from 5.3 to 5.5 inches but retains a definition of 1280 x 720 pixels.  The embedded processor is homemade, as is the custom in the past few months and Samsung is a quad-heart Exynos 1.6 GHz with 2 GB RAM, 16 GB of storage and a 3100 mAh battery muscular.  Terminal side, there is a micro-USB port (compatible MHL to liaise USB / HDMI to a TV) and under the back cover a microSD slot to expand the storage capacity up to 32GB more.  Photo and video capture is ensured by a 8 megapixel sensor with LED flash and a 2 megapixel webcam live in the front.

Galaxy Note obliges found stuck in the smartphone stylus developed using Wacom gender specialist.  Stylus changing compared to the first model, in substance and in form.  Radius operating system is version 4.1 of Android Jelly Bean that animates everything but Samsung adds its TouchWiz interface.

The Samsung Galaxy Note is marketed in two indicative price of Rs. 38,500 white or gray titanium.  Of 32 and 64 GB versions are planned.

Design

The Galaxy Note 2 changes very little compared to the first appearance of the name.  The 5.5-inch screen extends slightly the look of the whole, as, relatively speaking, the iPhone 4S compared to 5 and passes a 16:10 aspect ratio to 16:9.  The device also borrows lines of Galaxy S3 .

One may regret the massive use of plastic for the constitution of the smartphone, but the density of the set and the level of finish of the material compensates slightly.

Screen

AMOLED technology embedded on mobile promises infinite contrast, the vivid and beautiful reactivity.  Please note that Samsung has 4 display modes: Dynamic, Standard, Natural and Video.  In practice, it begins with a promise logically held since the contrast side is absolute black.  To this must be added a maximum brightness of 253 cd / m², which is 140 cd / m² less than the Note.
Note that this brightness is achieved for light areas in composite images.  White image, for example, will lower its maximum brightness (100 cd / m²) to save battery and your retina.

The persistence time, AMOLED forces, is almost zero.  Samsung always brings his motion compensation "curtain" (actually the image appears gradually) to thin even videos.

In the end, this screen represents a certain evolution, especially in the balance of color rendering.  If the maximum brightness down a bit, the entire display is powerful enough to provide indoor and outdoor sun but too direct.

S-Pen

The reason the original Note caught the public imagination was its S-Pen stylus, which transformed the device from an oddball smartphone/tablet into something people wanted to work and play with. The stylus now resides in a slot at the bottom of the device, and it’s a slim but very manageable effort with a nice, rounded profile. The Note 2 actively recognises when you’ve pulled the stylus from its sheath and takes you to a gallery of templates for the S Note note-taking app, where you can doodle, list or annotate to your heart’s content.

Interface and Navigation

If the Galaxy Note 2 includes Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, there is finally some differences between this terminal and a Galaxy S3 to its output, due to the use of the TouchWiz interface, which completely covers the Google OS.  We invite you to visit and test our Galaxy S3 to learn more about the basics of the TouchWiz interface.

In terms of pure computing power, all the tests show, the Exynos embedded in Note 2 is the most powerful processor to date on the market.  However, the graphics device (chip Mali 400 MP) is identical to that of the Galaxy S3, which is still enough to play the entire contents of Google Play Store.

Power that results in a constant flow, rather than on a Galaxy S3 which can sometimes hurt output from web app or with small snags.  Here everything is fast, very fast.  As the GS3, power is demonstrated by the possibility of active content, like a video in a pop up window.  It takes a little more sense on a screen of 5.5 inches and can keep an eye on the series while writing an SMS.

 Multimedia

Web browsing is fast and especially pleasant.  If the screen does not have extra accuracy due to a definition identical to the first note, however, it is sufficient to provide perfect legibility for all content types.  And that, as in portrait mode to landscape mode.

Multimedia playback (photo, video and audio) is a classic on Samsung devices.  To make it simple, take your content in Note 2 and let the reader make adequate rest.  For videos, the files are 1080p course of the game.  Still happy with this screen!

The headphone output of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 does not differ from the first.  It therefore provides a sound reproduction combines a good dynamic and powerful sound in the middle, without emitting any signal distortion.  In sum, we are faced with a good quality product, well built and controlled.
Another good point, the external speaker is powerful enough to listen to some music clips without having to listen.  The Headset is itself always to be avoided, allowing only extra just listening.

The sensor photo video is a little better than its older but still somewhat below the 8MP of the iPhone 5 , especially on the level of detail captured.
In contrast, Note 2 passes Apple in the management of low brightness.  Skin tones are reproduced and the flash is on the same level as the Galaxy S3, namely that subjects are not burned like the iPhone or even the first note.

Nokia Lumia 920: in November price @ 600 euros

The first Nokia Windows Phone smartphones 8, Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 will be expected entry into the European market in the month of November. The first to be launched around 500 euros, while the second, later spearheaded the brand, should see its price vary from 600 to 650 euros depending on the country.

Nokia has delivered, through its Italian site, some information on the launch of its future smartphones Windows Phone 8, the Lumia 820 and Lumia 920.  On this page , we learn that the two terminals are expected to enter the market in the month of November, a date expected and logical, since Microsoft is expected to launch its operating system around October 29.

The book also Finnish manufacturer suggested retail price for these two terminals in Italy: it is set to 499 euros for the Lumia 820, and 599 euros for the Lumia 920.  For the latter, however, should give vary by country.  In Germany, a press release indicates that the launch will take place and also in November, but this time did state a suggested retail price of 649 euros.

Information on the French market have not yet been revealed, but it seems plausible that the rate of Lumia 920 falls within the upper range of retail prices practiced in Europe, helped in particular by the private copying levy.

Asus and Google would work on low cost version of the Nexus 7

According to the site Digitimes, Asus and Google prepare low cost version of their tablet Nexus 7, which could be sold below $ 100 by the end of the year. Another version, thinner, could accompany him.

Digitimes , citing "industry sources," explains Google and Asus is preparing to stiff competition at the end of the year, particularly because of the expected launch of a 7-inch iPad mini.  The two firms, which launched in late August their tablet versions 8 and 16 GB respectively 199 and 249 euros, have not said their last word for 2012.

We thus find the program a slimmer version of the current model, which would be available in the U.S. at a price of $ 199 - the price of the current 8GB version in the United States - but also a model that would cost $ 99.

At this stage of the rumor, impossible to know what size could imply lower prices: Digitimes merely states that these new versions, Asus would have turned to the Taiwanese manufacturer for HannStar Display screens.

The site Digitimes is not always exemplary reliability when it comes to speculate on future products, but this rumor could motivate some buyers wait a bit before investing in a tablet.

The side of the mobile operators, each organized: Orange , for its part, announced the launch of pre-orders Friday, September 14, just like Apple.  Approach also applies to Sosh, low cost subsidiary. Free Mobile , meanwhile, offer the terminal from 21 September, the effective date of marketing: an approach that should be adopted also by Bouygues Telecom , SFR and most MVNOs.

ne of the biggest changes to iOS is the addition of Apple’s own Maps app in the place of Google Maps, which Apple has done away with. Apple would be less dependent on Samsung for iPhone 5

In order to diversify its suppliers, the Cupertino company will supply at least its main partner, Samsung, to supply the memory chips of the next iPhone.

Samsung is a pillar in the manufacture of Apple products.  South Korean provides microprocessors, screens and memory chips also used in iPod, iPad and iPhone.  According to a source close to the negotiations cited by Reuters, Apple has reduced orders for memory chips (DRAM and NAND) with Samsung for the iPhone 5, which is expected unveiling Wednesday, September 12. According to Bloomberg, it would be a disagreement between the two companies on prices.

The American dismissed Samsung's list of suppliers of memory chips for the first delivered to the iPhone 5.  However, the South Korean remains one of its main partners, said the industry source, including the new smartphone.  Apple's maneuver would have benefited the Japanese Toshiba and Elpida Memory and Hynix of South Korea.

The author of the information denied market speculation under which this shelving Samsung would be the result of multiple legal battles from both manufacturers of smartphones and tablets.
An analyst quoted by Bernstein notes that orders for DRAM and NAND memory chips with the South Korean "fell significantly representing 2.5% of revenues from Samsung."  In addition, the activity of Samsung memory was the only back from year to year in the last quarter (8%).  In total, Apple weighs 9% in income from Samsung.

According to a source quoted by the Korea Economic Daily, Apple iPhone 5 will equip its main battery from Amperex Technology Chinese and Japanese Panasonic, leaving somewhat subsidiary specializing in lithium-ion batteries Samsung SDI.  For the provision of the screen, LG is one of the main partners for the iPhone 5 at the expense of Sharp who has lost a bit of ground, indicates the person consulted by the Korean newspaper.

Samsung, which has not yet commented on the information remains the sole supplier of microprocessors for Apple's iPhone and iPad.  A strengthened relationship in late August by the announcement of depth increase its production capacity at its plant in semiconductors Texas.  This is made an investment of $ 4 billion to convert its foundry initially reserved for memory chips to manufacture SoC (System on a Chip) 28 nm for mobile devices.

According to a Morgan Stanley analyst, sales of electronic components Samsung could reach $ 13 billion for an operating profit of 2.2 billion potential.  Samsung expects the third quarter to a growth in demand for DRAM and NAND mobile but also to increased competition.

Apple wants to block 8 Samsung devices in US

Apple (AAPL) on Monday gave a federal judge a list of eight Samsung products it wants pulled from shelves and banned from the U.S. market.

U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh asked for the list after a jury in San Jose last week slammed Samsung with a $1.05 billion verdict, finding that the South Korean technology giant had "willfully" copied Apple's iPhone and iPad in creating and marketing the products. Samsung plans an appeal.

The list of smartphones that Apple would like to see removed from the market is as follows: Galaxy S 4G, Galaxy S II (AT & T) Galaxy S II (Skyrocket), Galaxy S II (T-Mobile) Galaxy S II Epic 4G Galaxy S Showcase Galaxy Prevail and Droid Charge.  The Galaxy S II is the main target to kill in his versions offered by U.S. carriers.

Koh on June 26 banned the Galaxy Tab 10.1 from the U.S. market after finding it likely violated a "design patent." Samsung is now asking for that ban to be lifted after the jury found the computer tablet didn't infringe that particular patent, but it did find it infringed three Apple's software patents that cover the popular "bounce-back" and pinch-to-zoom features.

The judge has scheduled a Sept. 20 hearing to discuss Apple's demands for the sales bans. She asked Apple on Friday to submit the list of products its wants removed from U.S. stores after Samsung complained it doesn't have enough time to prepare for the scheduled hearing.

For its part, Samsung took the floor and told the Wall Street Journal 's willingness to fight against the ban on its products in the USA. "We will take all necessary measures to ensure the availability of our products in the U.S. market." Said the firm, which board already on changes terminals covered by the ban, pending the launch of the procedure appeal, which could delay the proceedings.
