Dell to launch Latitude 2120 netbook at CES

Among the many new-product announcements that have been released in the time leading up to CES, word on the web is that Dell will launch a new Latitude 2120 netbook at the Vegas convention next week. Apparently, the 2120 has specs identical to the previously available 2110, but gets double the computing power of the single core Intel Atom N470 chipset in its predecessor courtesy of a dual core N550 processor. While the upgraded processor is the big news, sources indicate the newest Latitude gets an optional Broadcom Crystal HD video accelerator, which should be a welcome addition for those students planning to watch March Madness during that 10AM lecture this spring semester. No word on price or availability, so interested parties will have to wait until the official launch for such details.

The Sony Ericsson PSP Phone Play XPERIA

Indeed, this suggests that the trademark registration (XPERIA Play) and multiple bookings domain names (Xperiaplay.com, Xperiaplay.net, Xperiaplay.org) recently made by Sony Ericsson ...


That was enough to revive the ball less rumors about the famous PSP Phone to be released, at last, scheduled for April.

Knowing that the prototype unveiled several times closely resembles the XPERIA range of mobile and more particularly to the alleged XPERIA X12 , it is likely that this new rumor is correct, unless it is a strategy to cover their tracks ... Wait & See ...

Sony filed a complaint against LG

If the holiday season is usually the opportunity to make a truce with his enemies, Sony gives no respite to its competitor LG has filed a complaint with the court in Los Angeles for copyright infringement.

The complainant believes indeed own the rights to seven patents, including one describing a system that can attach a photo of one of your contacts to the phone number in your address book. This device, which lets you know who is calling you (and if you want to win!) Is now implemented by many manufacturers.

The Associated Press adds that the complaint also addresses other technologies to adjust the encoding and transmission of an audio stream based on the quality of bandwidth, delay the audio a few seconds to use the camera phone to see where a picture was taken or to be able to adjust on the fly the quality of photos taken by the camera.

In all ten smartphones manufactured by LG are concerned. Sony claim that sales of the latter are suspended in the United States.
