NEW HTC Touch Cruise with HTC Footprints

HTC announced smartphone, the Touch Cruise, which comes complete with an automatic location-based logger called HTC Footprints. The Touch Cruise has a 2.8-inch QVGA resistive touchscreen, quadband GSM, dualband HSDPA (900/2100 MHz for Europe/Asia, 850/1900MHz for North America), WiFi b/g and A-GPS, together with Bluetooth 2.0 and a 3.2-megapixel fixed-focus camera. HTC Footprints, meanwhile, is launched from a dedicated button on the front panel, and allows every photo taken with the Touch Cruise’s camera to be tagged with audio and text notes, together with GPS coordinates.

Footprints is being marketed as a way to better record family memories, or make sure you can find places you previously visited. The Touch Cruise also has HTC TouchFLO 3D on top of Windows Mobile 6.1, and includes a microSD slot.

The Touch Cruise measures 102 x 53.5 x 14.5mm and weighs 103g, and the 1100mAh battery is rated for up to 400 minutes talktime or two weeks standby.




The HTC Touch Cruise with HTC Footprints will go on sale in all major global markets in Spring 2009. In the US it will be offered at between $500 and $600 unlocked.

Corsair S128 SSD (128GB)

Corsair introduced its first 2.5-inch SSD, coming to provide users with a maximum storage capacity of 128GB. The unit has been dubbed S128 and is based on a Multi Level Cell NAND-based technology, designed to provide both storage and high-performance.

However, the second generation of Corsair SSDs could provide read and write speeds in the range of 200MB/s, for enthusiast models, while higher-performance models could provide impressive 400MB/s read speeds.



Corsair claimed its S128 SSD is capable of data transfer rates at the sequential read and write speeds of 90MB/Sec and 70MB/sec respectively. Also, later this year, they will release its 2nd-gen SSDs with increase performance to match competitive levels.

Despite no official word from Corsair, online retailers, such as NCIX and Scan, have already listed the new SSD as available for pre-order. Price wise, you will be able to purchase Corsair's SSD for $335.74 (£237.77), while at Scan the new storage product sells for £326.54.
