Samsung Galaxy Note 2 review

The Super AMOLED HD from 5.3 to 5.5 inches but retains a definition of 1280 x 720 pixels.  The embedded processor is homemade, as is the custom in the past few months and Samsung is a quad-heart Exynos 1.6 GHz with 2 GB RAM, 16 GB of storage and a 3100 mAh battery muscular.  Terminal side, there is a micro-USB port (compatible MHL to liaise USB / HDMI to a TV) and under the back cover a microSD slot to expand the storage capacity up to 32GB more.  Photo and video capture is ensured by a 8 megapixel sensor with LED flash and a 2 megapixel webcam live in the front.

Galaxy Note obliges found stuck in the smartphone stylus developed using Wacom gender specialist.  Stylus changing compared to the first model, in substance and in form.  Radius operating system is version 4.1 of Android Jelly Bean that animates everything but Samsung adds its TouchWiz interface.

The Samsung Galaxy Note is marketed in two indicative price of Rs. 38,500 white or gray titanium.  Of 32 and 64 GB versions are planned.

Design

The Galaxy Note 2 changes very little compared to the first appearance of the name.  The 5.5-inch screen extends slightly the look of the whole, as, relatively speaking, the iPhone 4S compared to 5 and passes a 16:10 aspect ratio to 16:9.  The device also borrows lines of Galaxy S3 .

One may regret the massive use of plastic for the constitution of the smartphone, but the density of the set and the level of finish of the material compensates slightly.

Screen

AMOLED technology embedded on mobile promises infinite contrast, the vivid and beautiful reactivity.  Please note that Samsung has 4 display modes: Dynamic, Standard, Natural and Video.  In practice, it begins with a promise logically held since the contrast side is absolute black.  To this must be added a maximum brightness of 253 cd / m², which is 140 cd / m² less than the Note.
Note that this brightness is achieved for light areas in composite images.  White image, for example, will lower its maximum brightness (100 cd / m²) to save battery and your retina.

The persistence time, AMOLED forces, is almost zero.  Samsung always brings his motion compensation "curtain" (actually the image appears gradually) to thin even videos.

In the end, this screen represents a certain evolution, especially in the balance of color rendering.  If the maximum brightness down a bit, the entire display is powerful enough to provide indoor and outdoor sun but too direct.

S-Pen

The reason the original Note caught the public imagination was its S-Pen stylus, which transformed the device from an oddball smartphone/tablet into something people wanted to work and play with. The stylus now resides in a slot at the bottom of the device, and it’s a slim but very manageable effort with a nice, rounded profile. The Note 2 actively recognises when you’ve pulled the stylus from its sheath and takes you to a gallery of templates for the S Note note-taking app, where you can doodle, list or annotate to your heart’s content.

Interface and Navigation

If the Galaxy Note 2 includes Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, there is finally some differences between this terminal and a Galaxy S3 to its output, due to the use of the TouchWiz interface, which completely covers the Google OS.  We invite you to visit and test our Galaxy S3 to learn more about the basics of the TouchWiz interface.

In terms of pure computing power, all the tests show, the Exynos embedded in Note 2 is the most powerful processor to date on the market.  However, the graphics device (chip Mali 400 MP) is identical to that of the Galaxy S3, which is still enough to play the entire contents of Google Play Store.

Power that results in a constant flow, rather than on a Galaxy S3 which can sometimes hurt output from web app or with small snags.  Here everything is fast, very fast.  As the GS3, power is demonstrated by the possibility of active content, like a video in a pop up window.  It takes a little more sense on a screen of 5.5 inches and can keep an eye on the series while writing an SMS.

 Multimedia

Web browsing is fast and especially pleasant.  If the screen does not have extra accuracy due to a definition identical to the first note, however, it is sufficient to provide perfect legibility for all content types.  And that, as in portrait mode to landscape mode.

Multimedia playback (photo, video and audio) is a classic on Samsung devices.  To make it simple, take your content in Note 2 and let the reader make adequate rest.  For videos, the files are 1080p course of the game.  Still happy with this screen!

The headphone output of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 does not differ from the first.  It therefore provides a sound reproduction combines a good dynamic and powerful sound in the middle, without emitting any signal distortion.  In sum, we are faced with a good quality product, well built and controlled.
Another good point, the external speaker is powerful enough to listen to some music clips without having to listen.  The Headset is itself always to be avoided, allowing only extra just listening.

The sensor photo video is a little better than its older but still somewhat below the 8MP of the iPhone 5 , especially on the level of detail captured.
In contrast, Note 2 passes Apple in the management of low brightness.  Skin tones are reproduced and the flash is on the same level as the Galaxy S3, namely that subjects are not burned like the iPhone or even the first note.

Bing: a 360 ° home page

Microsoft embellishes its search engine Bing and now offers a panoramic home page.

While Google setting a homepage purified, Microsoft continues to share his stand search engine.  Last year, the company unveiled a new version of Bing adopting HTML5 technologies.  The launch was crowned by the presentation, not a static image in the background but a video.  This time Microsoft introduces a panoramic image.

If Microsoft is working hard to improve the relevance of the results of its engine Bing, the company also entice the user with its imagery base.  Recently, the company introduced the ability to configure the images on Bing.com lock screen of Windows 8.  Today, visitors visiting the home page of Bing observe a dynamic panorama enabled by default and can be traversed with the mouse or finger on touch screens.  The photo was captured on Bastei in Saxon Switzerland, a region of Germany.

The image is taken from the book 360cities.net, among others welcoming the panoramas captured by the application of Microsoft Photosynth.
