Skyfire Beta 2 Browser Released for Symbian Handsets

If you live in the U.S. and happen to own a Nokia Symbian S60 (3rd Edition) smartphone, then dont miss your chance to be one of the first users to try the second beta of the world's fastest mobile browser from Skyfire.

But as far as Video Flash contents (YouTube alike) , music streaming (Last.fm alike) or heavy Ajax contents (MySpace, Facebook) , Skyfire is supposed to have them covered. I believe Skyfire redirects requests to their server, re-render complex contents before delivering to your handset. Therefore I would like to hear your experience, especially for non 3G users.

The software is now available for selected private beta testers, and if you're willing to join them, sign up at the Skyfire's website now.

Digg released New Digg Mobile site.

The mobile version of the popular social networking website has gone through a reconditioning process and is now said to be better than ever. Which means that you can digg and/or bury articles from your handset more efficiently (if there's any efficiency in "dugging" at all).

Now it’s even easier to access Digg on the go with the new mobile version of Digg. This enhanced version - found at m.digg.com - is perfect for phones that support the full web browsing experience, such as a Treo, Blackberry or that new iPhone you just waited in line all morning to get.

This version provides:

  • Multiple views of the most recently popular stories. Just as on Digg, you can tab between the filters to see stories popular in the last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days and 365 days.

  • Increased visibility to distinguish between media types. If the story is tagged as ‘YouTube’, you can click to play the video directly on your iPhone.

  • The ability to favorite stories when logged in.

  • Improved usability when surfing between various stories.

  • The ability to load more comments on each story.

  • Snappier page loads due to less javascript used on the site.
