Nokia: Windows is more flexible Android Phone

At a conference held in London, Mr. Elop admitted that Apple had set the bar by setting high expectations of consumers vis-à-vis their smartphones. He insists, however, the appearance of the closed system IOS. "It's Apple that has created Android, or at least they have germinated the conditions necessary to create Android," said Nokia CEO, adding that Google has carefully taken care not to implement a similar system to deploy a competitive strategy against Apple.

"There are always gray areas on Google's open source strategy, and we do not know the nature of them," Elop said, adding that most of the Android source code is proprietary. "If you count the number of lines of code to Android, you have probably a different view of its open source nature," he says. According to him, so Google would be able to dictate the uses of the system. The site specializes Mobiledia reports that the director had made similar comments earlier this month to justify the choice of Windows Phone. He then explained that Google's platform does not give him the freedom to differentiate themselves from the competition.

Nokia accuses manufacturers to focus their efforts on Android Phone at the expense of Windows 7 and do not hide that the company focus on its own platform from Microsoft.
