Nokia updates its instant messaging application

Given the convergence of communication tools, Nokia unveiled a new application called Nokia and IM for that is positioned opposite to the BlackBerry Messenger, or more recently unveiled WhatsApp, IMessage.

Like the applications of RIM and Apple, this new tool to communicate with users having also installed on the smartphone. IM for Nokia, however, allow communication to other IM networks including those of Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger and MySpace IM.




Available through the kiosk downloads Ovi Store, the successor of Nokia Messenging will then pre-installed on all telephones of the next mark. After identifying himself with its Ovi account, the mobinaute must configure its various identifiers on other protocols. The basic features have been implemented, namely, the ability to add an avatar, options available and a widget easy access from the home screen.

Among compatible smartphones, the Finnish manufacturer Nokia says X6, Nokia 5230, Nokia N8 Nokia E7 and Symbian S40 phones.
