777 free copies of Windows 7 for Zevenhuizen

With the October 22nd general availability of Windows 7 approaching fast, all eyes turn to Microsoft, as the Redmond company is expected to debut its main marketing effort designed to push the product. However, even in the pre-launch season, Microsoft has not been shy of running various satellite marketing efforts, promotions and special offerings set up to get customers talking about the successor of Windows Vista. For its latest Windows 7 publicity stunt, the Redmond company decided to offer no less than 777 free copies of Windows 7 to the residents of Zevenhuizen in The Netherlands.


A promotional website has been set up for the occasion and invited the villagers to register. The 777 first Zevenhuizenaren, the name given to the people of this county, will receive free Windows 7 
Home Edition Premium  But on one condition: that
their computer is not already running Windows and certified compatible with the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

The Redmond company even offers free services of technicians who will come install the operating system at home, or portable computers of people who will be made at a given location. Residents Zevenhuizen have same right to an exemption because the operation will start from October 17, ahead of the official calendar, and ends October 23. You only then that a few days to get settled in Holland!
