iphone 5 now available for pre-order


According to UnleashThePhone, the first wave of pre-orders will be available for the USA, the UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Germany and France.

It is now possible to pre-order the iPhone 5 through the Apple online store: as expected, prices start at 679 euros for the 16 GB model, while the 32GB and 64GB versions cost their side 789 and 899 euros.  The purchase of the terminal on the Apple site provides access to an unlocked model, but it will not prevent the user from its passage operator to apply nano-SIM, since the iPhone 5 is the first smartphone to adopt this new standard.



 The side of the mobile operators, each organized: Orange , for its part, announced the launch of pre-orders Friday, September 14, just like Apple.  Approach also applies to Sosh, low cost subsidiary. Free Mobile , meanwhile, offer the terminal from 21 September, the effective date of marketing: an approach that should be adopted also by Bouygues Telecom , SFR and most MVNOs.

ne of the biggest changes to iOS is the addition of Apple’s own Maps app in the place of Google Maps, which Apple has done away with. The new Maps app has a built-in search for local points of interest, with over 100 million possible suggestions. Other features of the Maps app include navigation, routing, 3D maps, satellite imagery – that wraps around the 3D maps – and the ability to get directions directly through Siri. Most of the standard features of the Maps app, including satellite view, are available in almost all countries the iPhone ships to.
