YouTube brings the big screen to the browser with it's new offering for the Bollywood loving audience - YouTube BoxOffice. www.youtube.com/BoxOffice is an ad supported channel on the video sharing website that will screen a blockbuster movie every month.
Yash Raj Film's Band Baaja Baaraat is the opening film on YouTube BoxOffice. The movie can be watched in a number of resolutions up to 1080p HD. With related videos including making of the film, selected and deleted scenes, YouTube BoxOffice brings the DVD experience online.
YouTube's Box Office page also engages viewers with its Movie Trivia, Quizzes and Intel Win An Island contest. Featured movies on this exclusive Box Office channel will come without deleted scenes and it will offer making of the movie and other features as well.
There is already a channel to view movies for free on the YouTube, this initiative has the potential to curb piracy if the big releases are brought to this online channel soon within its launch.
