NVIDIA 3D Vision Technology : put on an ecosystem PC in 3D

NVIDIA obviously wanted to emphasize its 3D Vision Technology, a technology firm to the chameleon tries to spread in all directions. If at first, 3D Vision was confined only to PCs equipped with a GeForce graphics card and display only 120 Hertz then available (the famous Samsung 22-inch), it is clear that today the technology is 3D Vision less and less elitist. The number of screens to 120 Hz has risen significantly, from Asus to launch a new 24-inch model in particular that takes place alongside models Acer, Alienware and LG to name them, while the 3D Vision Technology appeared on the laptops (Asus, but also Toshiba) and should also be integrated into PCs All-in-one coming from the manufacturer MSI example.

While many 3D Vision rhymes with video games, technology, NVIDIA is not limited to use only as it applies to photography, digital cameras Fujifilm W1 and upcoming Sony Alpha NEX while being compatible 3D Vision the video also benefits. Thus the arrival of the first Blu-ray in 3D allows NVIDIA to deliver on the front of the stage as the PC 3D Vision 3D Vision may, with the right software, deliver Blu-ray stereoscopic. All these reasons and uses NVIDIA pushing talk of a new generation of PCs, PC 3D. Beyond the obvious marketing speech, it is nevertheless interesting to note the undoubted growth of the ecosystem around the 3D PC but also ... around televisions.

Thus, NVIDIA will offer in the coming weeks its 3D TV technology play that we could try for the first time. These allow a user PC with a GeForce graphics card, to enjoy its games in 3D by connecting his laptop or his machine to a 3D TV. In this case, the kit of NVIDIA 3D Vision is not necessary, since the software only transmits the TV signal it needs to display 3-D games. Thus we were able to play Batman in stereoscopic 3D on a 50 inch Panasonic TV ... 3D glasses with Panasonic. Note, however, a major technological limitation: 3D video games, the signal is limited to a maximum resolution of 720p, because of limitations of HDMI 1.4. Bad!

Alongside the traditional demonstrations of 3D video stream, whether it flows from YouTube, or upcoming 3D games of the FIFA, NVIDIA had a 3D version of the video clip for "We Are The World", recently re-registered for victims of Haiti following the earthquake, and broadcast technology with Microsoft Silverlight. Finally, several French integrator presented at this occasion, their first PC 3D. Amazon Marketplace now offers the online PC Scopik with three different models, all equipped with 3D technology from NVIDIA Vision. As for Nvidia, the company would soon launch the chameleon new glasses, more comfortable, while its 3D solution Surround Vision should arrive in the coming days. Remember that 3D Surround Vision lets you play in 3D on three screens with SLI GeForce graphics cards. Let us close this brief report by the video game Mafia II, presented yesterday with footage of game play quite interesting taking advantage of 3D effects as well as NVIDIA PhysX: enough to dazzle the eye.
