Wordpress application invites itself to the Android Market

After introducing an application for the iPhone and BlackBerry, the development team of the publishing platform Wordpress announces open source availability of the latter system for Android. Available in the Android Market software works not only with blogs hosted on wordpress.com but also those installed on its own host. For the latter, the user must have installed version 2.7 (or later) of Wordpress and specify the path to the xmlrpc.php file. It is also possible to manage multiple blogs.

Wordpress for Android can write a new post or editing an article being written with the ability to insert an image and choose the category or keyword of your choice. The Engadget will also be able to create or edit a page and manage new comments. Finally, note that Wordpress for Android can take advantage of the notification system, the application may in fact be pre-configured to automatically check the latest comments pending validation.
