Study: 4 million tablets will be sold in 2010

Let it be said, after the wave of netbooks, what are the tablets which should give a new breath to blow the computer market. From HP Archos through Apple, Asus and Lenovo all seem to want to revive the deceased so his Tablet PC. A week after Apple's announcement, the analyst firm ABI Research has released its sales estimates on this new segment.

It "will not replace the laptop, the netbook and mobile phone but will remain an additional product or luxury," says Orr. For comparison, the same firm explained that in 2009 it had sold 35 million netbooks to the world, a figure expected to rise to 139 million units sold in total in 2013.
