On April 21, the interest group responsible for developing standards Bluetooth (Bluetooth Special Interest Group) to formalize the standard Bluetooth 3.0. This would allow for increased flow by 10 over the current Bluetooth standard (2.1) without increasing energy consumption.

Although five days after this announcement, Broadcom announced to supply chips stamped 3.0 bound for the iPod touch, it would take almost a year come to see the first announcement of a mobile phone carrying a Bluetooth circuit compatible.

It's finally that Samsung will make the future with his first GT-S8500. This smartphone features a touch screen with 3.1 inch OLED is indeed compatible with the latest Bluetooth standard.

However, we should not rejoice too fast thinking can finally enjoy high speed transfer with the famous terminal. Indeed, the new protocol standard Bluetooth 3.0 allows to initiate a connection like Wi-Fi on demand for push flows. Unfortunately, at present, the specifications of this new mobile mystery suggest that this feature will not be appropriate. Indeed, the information published by Samsung indicates that the device does not incorporate this technology. The interest group that manages the Bluetooth standard indicates that this phone will be compatible with the 3.0 kernel, but indeed, it will ignore the high-speed transfers.
