Synchronica: push on the mobile for everyone

Today at Mobile World Congress, the publisher Synchronica announces the release of its Mobile Gateway solution to version 5. What is it? Simply a solution of push notification - that is to say directly - on any phone.

"Today one third of operators sell phones running on a system to handle notifications push" explains a spokesman for the company. He adds: "What interests us are the remaining two thirds. Based on industry standards - IMAP, IMPS, SyncML, ActiveSync or POP3 - Synchronica technology deployed with operators allows users to directly receive a notification email accounts but also updates its community networks, its RSS feed or for instant messaging.

How to receive a notification on a push email account configured in POP3 you ask? Just a warning message sent by SMS. Among IM Clients supported include: MSN / Windows Live Messenger, GTalk, Yahoo! Messenger, ICQ, Facebook and the protocol Jabber / XMPP. In terms of community networks, we find Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Finally any RSS feed can also be configured.

The technology, marketed primarily to operators should deploy in particular in emerging countries of Africa and South America. A study by Frost & Sullivan, in these regions, by 2015 the mobile IM is expected to grow considerably with 500 million users.
