Windows 7: Microsoft removed the Family Pack

Microsoft Store, the Family Pack for three licenses of Windows 7 Home Premium (updated) is no longer visible. Until recently, this package was offered to purchase for 150 € on the online store from Microsoft. At similar prices, one can still find that famous pack at some online retailers, as long as stocks are sold.

This is not really a surprise, the Family Pack Windows 7 has always been presented as a promotion by Microsoft, and even if a promotion chasing another with higher interest or less questionable, they do not last forever. What may seem surprising for cons is that this promotion comes at a time of Christmas shopping. Not sure all this is very beneficial to the image of Microsoft.

In fine observer of the world Microsoft, Mary-Jo Foley speculates, however a return of the Family Pack Windows 7 in the coming weeks.

Currently, an updated Windows 7 Home Edition (a single license) costs 120 €.
