Windows 7 transforms notebook into wireless access point

Connectify can transform any computer with a Wi-Fi and Windows 7 in Wi-Fi access point, it becomes possible to connect multiple devices to a computer at the same time without a true point
access, while an ad hoc network (peer to peer) makes a connection between two devices.

With this software, a laptop connected to the Internet through a modem or a 3G hotspot fee (at the hotel or an airport) can for example share its connection with another computer, mobile phone or a game console, although some uses may be allowed.

The tool leverages Service Virtual Wi-Fi from Microsoft, whose development has not been completed but which has nevertheless been partially integrated into Windows 7. This allows, as its name suggests to create virtual adapters to connect to multiple wireless networks with a single Wi-Fi card

Connectify is available free as a public beta before being released in final version, at a date and price not disclosed.
