Nokia has refused to participate in the Mobile World Congress

The Finnish giant announced his refusal to participate in the upcoming event, Mobile World Congress. The company explained it well-connected with the largest cellular operator in the world, as well as the desire to save money. In addition, Nokia believes is right to focus your marketing efforts directly to the consumer.

Thus, most likely the company's stand will not be open to the MWC, which will take place February 15-18, 2010 in Barcelona. However, it does not deal with Nokia Siemens Networks, which will actively participate in the event. It is officially confirmed Mobayl@Mail.Ru project in Russia's representation Nokia. The main reason - the success of its own activities Nokia World, held this year in Stuttgart, and was attended by 500 participants. According to the manufacturer, World for Nokia is much more efficient than the MWC.

This demarche trigger a decline of interest in the exhibition, the main organizer of which GSM Association. It is possible that the absence of major market player have a negative impact on participation in the costly show for smaller companies.
