Available in capacities of 32 and 64 GB, 1.8 "Onyx uses a 3 Gbps interface and embeds MicroSat chip MLC NAND flash memory, a controller Indilinx Amigos and 64 MB of cache. Supporting the TRIM control, Onyx 1.8''according OCZ is capable of reaching speeds of about 145 MB / s read speed (135 Mb / s for the 32GB model), and 120 MB / s write (70MB / s only for the 32GB). MTBF stands for its 1.5 million hours.

For its part, the two 1.8-inch Vertex also uses a 3 Gbps interface MicroSat. It also loads of NAND flash memory chips but MLC has a controller SandForce SF-1200. Available in capacities ranging from 60GB to 240GB, this SSD performance displays up to 285 MB / s read, 275MB / s write and 50,000 IOPS in random writes 4KB The Onyx are guaranteed for two years, cons three for Vertex 2.
