Apple: 512 MB of RAM in the new MobileMe iPhone 4

If we now know that the iPhone will carry a chip four A4 developed internally and based on ARM architecture, Apple has not, however, lingered in detail the technical features of its next smartphone. But we now know that in addition to a new CPU, the iPhone will have four 512 MB of RAM, ie twice more than the iPhone 3G and four times more than previous models.

Apple has confirmed this information during a session reserved for developers during the WWDC. Magazine MacRumors points out that this could explain why iMovie will be available on the next model, while the others are deemed too little power.

After closing the homepage Me.com all night, the team responsible for developing Internet services from Apple today unveiled an update to MobileMe. Following the beta for MobileMe mail last month, Apple announced its availability to all subscribers. The service now offers a new way of reading three components similar to Outlook. Note also the possibility to create filters directly from the web interface. So far this option was available only from Apple's Mail software. In addition to increased performance and an improved anti-spam, developers have added an SSL connection throughout the session. Also new: the possibility to consult its external accounts and write a message with the sender address of choice.

MobileMe also offers a service called Find My iPhone. In case of loss of its iPhone, it is possible to connect to a web interface to geotag. This service is now available via an application ... iPhone! It will need to install the latter on another terminal on the iPad. Since this application it will be possible to send a message and an audible for two minutes. In case of theft the user can also protect the phone remotely by a password, or erase all its contents.

Finally, if the release of the first iPhone has generated a great enthusiasm among its biggest fans, the excitement does not seem ready to fall for some. To prove this Texan who moved his tent just outside the Apple Store in Dallas ... six days before the official release of the iPhone 4.
