Facebook AIM invites itself and deploys the XMPP protocol

In September AOL has released version 7 of its instant messaging client AIM. This grinding can read updates of his contacts but also to publish on various community networks (Facebook, Twitter, MySpace) or media such as Flickr or YouTube. The Internet portal announced this time a new beta of AIM for Mac OS X and Windows via which you can chat with contacts connected to the network of Facebook.

Meanwhile Facebook announced that it is now possible to configure the functionality of instant messaging from any client dedicated. Indeed, simply choose the Jabber XMPP protocol and configure the server with chat.facebook.com identifiers.
