Download Skype Beta 4.2 for Windows : Call transfer and WiFi

A beta version of Skype 4.2 for Windows is available for download with return of call forwarding and Skype Access.

Skype invites Windows users of its popular VoIP software to test a beta version of Skype 4.2. This saw the emergence of Skype Access Service to use the WiFi access points, or otherwise call on Skype via a wireless network.

Already compatible with the final version 2.8 of Skype for Mac OS X, Skype Access allows pay per minute the time spent in WiFi connection, or 0.16 € per minute with Skype credts to connect access points network offered by Boingo, which covers more than 17 000 access points in France (over 100 000 worldwide).

Skype 4.2 Beta for Windows also sign the back of the feature call transfer, and the possibility of transferring a free call to any Skype contact. A service fee for a transfer to a landline or mobile.

In addition to these two features, Skype announced a better integration in Windows 7 (interaction with the new taskbar and system tray), a new indicator of call quality and still improvements in sound quality and video.
