Android suffers two setbacks in the war of patents

The operating system Android Google suffers more than ever the legal guerilla led by Microsoft and Apple against him on behalf of the violation of their patents. One after the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) issued two decisions that are unfavorable. The first is the more symbolic because it condemns Taiwanese manufacturer HTC for patent infringement Apple on a soft harmless but is widespread. This can click directly on a phone number contained in an email to initiate a phone call from his smartphone.

The decision will take effect in April 2012 and will prohibit its import HTC Android smartphones shipping this function (ie almost all). It remains to HTC to remove this feature if it wishes to continue selling its phones overseas or modify the implementation of this function. This decision is certainly a victory for Apple, which is at loggerheads with the Taiwanese manufacturer of the U.S. market. With this decision, the manufacturer could lead to apple legal action against other manufacturers of Android smartphones in the U.S..
