Nokia announced earlier this year that its software GPS guidance Ovi Maps became free , when he was previously charged up to 60 euros per year. Some smartphones from the manufacturer, not the least, were still denied a compatible version. If this gap was rapidly corrected to the Nokia N97 and its mini version, the Nokia E71 and E66, despite having met with great success to the professionals, were still missing the call.

The users of these smartphones can now obtain the latest version of 'Ovi Maps "from the Ovi Store and use Ovi Suite software to load maps of countries of their choice on the memory card from phone to receive a GPS-guided offline. Optional functions like the Michelin Guide Lonely Planet or go by the wayside, however, "for technical reasons".
The Finnish manufacturer also says that these are the last two smartphones running Symbian S60 3.1 to receive a free version of Ovi Maps. It is also an opportunity for the publisher to publish the list of compatible handsets to date 1.
