Asus Eee PC glare screens

Asus has recently announced a new Eee PC, which now represents the first prize. It inherits the technical specifications of the model that outperforms now in terms of price, but has the particular focus around a matte screen glare.

Considered by some as an option billed tens of euros , for professionals who prefer fidelity to flattery, matte screen is reserved for the manufacturer in this entry-level model. It measures 10.1 inches in this case, is backlit by LEDs and displays a definition WSVGA.

The Eee PC Seashell 1001PX displays also become the standard configuration, with the second generation of low-power Intel processor, the Atom N450, 1GB of RAM (expandable to 2GB), hard drive 160 or 250 GB and a battery of 3 or 6 cells, respectively, for the model with Windows XP or the Windows 7 Starter Edition. They give it autonomy strictly proportional to 4.5 or 9 hours, for a total weight of 1.10 or 1.27 kg.

Although the new prize, the Eee PCs shipped last a multipoint touchpad, VGA webcam (0.3 megapixels) and an SD card reader.

The Asus Eee PC 1001PX has yet been announced by the manufacturer's global industry, with no details about launch date or its price in France. We nevertheless expect it to be launched during the month of April for a price of approximately EUR 250 with Windows XP.
