Linksys WAP610N: access point dual band WiFi N

Linksys, the consumer division of Cisco network equipment supplier, recently announced a new access point wireless meeting with standard Wi-Fi N Final. The Linksys Dual-Band WAP610N is and can use the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz for improving the reach and reliability of transmissions, without suffering interference from wireless network neighbor.

Aimed at the general public, WAP610N is provided with an installation wizard, Mac OS X and Windows, which simplifies the setup and are prompted to choose an encryption key. The Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) allows for it to automate the connection of a network device compatible access point with one push of a button, without having to go through the tedious step of seizure of the key.

The manufacturer promises that the last access point is optimized for broadcasting high-definition video, without specifying if it is by its proper flow rate (up to 100 Mbps actual) or by the introduction of a process of quality of service (QoS).
