Nero announced this week the availability for download of Nero 9 Lite. A lighter version of the Nero suite Reloaded 9 to which the publisher expects to bring many users. At destination operating systems Windows, Nero 9 Lite offers only the features copy discs and burn data to disk for CD and DVD.
Nero 9 Lite is obviously compatible with Windows 7, and the German publisher goes to show that his free burning solution can "fill a void within the functions" of the new Microsoft OS.
We will publish shortly in our columns a test of several burning solutions for Windows, free, light and effective. Among these programs, BurnAware Free Edition, CDBurnerXP, Free Easy CD DVD Burner or InfraRecorder.
In September last, Nero announced the release of a burning solution for Linux, Nero Linux 4 with support for burning Blu-ray and included the application Nero Linux Express 4. A commercial solution charged € 19.99.
