Buffalo Blu-ray burner USB 3.0

Buffalo unveiled its first USB 3.0 devices. To start this the drive HXU3 DriveStation HD-presentations that comes in 1TB, 1.5TB, and 2TB with speeds up to 130MB per second.

In theory the new standard allows transfer rates up to 4.8 gigabits per second - about 625MB/segundo - but so far the USB 3.0 storage devices in practice to approach this theoretical maximum. However, compared to USB 2.0 devices Buffalo's new drive offers a significant performance improvement. The HD-HXU3 comes with the backup application for Windows or Mac Memeo AutoBackup and its price is 199.99 USD, 249.99 USD and 399.99 USD depending upon capacity.


In addition to this disc, the company has unveiled what they call the Blu-ray burner market faster. This unit 12x USB 3.0 should burn a Blu-ray to 250GB in 11 minutes. The unit in question also records LTH Blu-ray at 6x, BD-RE rewritable discs at 2x, and 16x DVD whether they are single layer and 8x when two.

The DriveStation HD-HXU3 already available but Buffalo plans to put in the new burner Blu-ray X1216U3 BR-market end of December - first in Japan at a price of about 451USD. The company also supplied with these products a PCI USB 3.0 two ports for data subjects to include new standard in their machines if they do not.
