Sony will launch its Touch Reader

Sony has taken advantage of IFA to formalize the upcoming release in more European countries "Touch Reader, an eBook with a touch screen. In France, it will be available in November in 3 colors (silver, black and red) for a price of 300 euros.

The "Reader Touch" Sony has a touch screen 6 inch slightly different from the current "Reader PRS-700. It incorporates indeed more layer of backlighting and is optimized to be readable even in bright environments. However, this layer is its touch screen has a glare that can sometimes interfere with reading eBooks. The "Touch Reader is compatible with Mac and PC and allows you to read PDF content, Word, BBeB (Sony format) or TXT. It is also compatible with the format "ePub" developed especially in eBooks from Google. But Sony still has its own library of books in digital format. In use, the speed of transition from one page to another is fast, its internal system to move easily into its internal menus. And so much more quickly than the current eBook Sony Reader PRS-505. His touch layer is designed to select the finger portions of text, add annotations or double-click a word to know its definition.


Note that the 3rd "Reader" of the brand, "Pocket Reader, should not be marketed in France, the Japanese giant preferred yet still highlight the Reader is currently available in stores.
