Apple launches new iPod Nano, Touch and Classic

Apple announced on Wednesday night, here's a summary of news for players, along with the prices and some additional technical information

iPod Touch


Contrary to rumors, the new iPod Touch does not carry a camera. Its configuration has however been revised upwards. It shall have such a new graphics controller compatible OpenGL ES 2.0, suggesting it could be the PowerVR is equipped with the iPhone 3GS.

The iPod Touch is now available in three capacities: 8GB for 199 euros, 32 euros for 289 GB and 64 GB for 379 euro. The two most important capabilities are now delivered with a remote control with a microphone. Note that the 8GB version is the exact equivalent of the iPod Touch 2G: it retains the components that animated so far.

iPod Nano

iPod Classic and iPod Shuffle

Over at Classic, little new, except that the drive has not said its last word. Capacity from 120 to 160GB for a price of 259 euros. The iPod Shuffle now comes in five colors and retains its anodized aluminum coating. A sixth reference, reserved to the Apple Store offers a polished steel hull. Optionally, it will soon be served an adapter that enables the remote to find another headset than the one supplied by Apple. It remains to get the price of this accessory?

The iPod Shuffle is in turn sold 59 euros in its 2GB, against EUR 79 Model 4 GB
