Eight 2.5-inch bays for the last NAS Qnap

Qnap endless decline of its range of servers and storage today unveils the SS-839 Pro Turbo NAS, provided a model of no less than 8 pitches 2.5 inches. Despite the large number of berries, this format storage medium allows it to benefit from a reduced, measuring a mere 18 × 18 × 23 cm. Qnap ensure that it consumes 60% less energy than 8-bay NAS 3.5 inches. The maximum capacity of a hard drive or an SSD 2.5-inch format to date is approximately 500 GB, the NAS can accommodate a total of 4 TB (4 000 GB).

It has unsurprisingly an Intel Atom N270 clocked at 1.6 GHz, 2 GB of RAM and the internal software common to the range for sharing multimedia content, printers, automatic downloading of files, etc.. There are also two connectors RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet, five USB 2.0 ports (one front) and two eSATA ports.



This storage server Qnap SS-839 Pro Turbo NAS will be available in coming weeks at a price not given.
