Exclusive Live Broadcast of Aero GP 2009

Al Ain, U.A.E. is the location for the first grand prix of the 2009 Aero GP air racing series. The Aero GP will be the main event of the prestigious Al Ain Aerobatic Show which will be broadcast LIVE from 30 – 31 January 2009 on the new online TV channel, Airsports.tv.

Airsports.tv broadcasts features of top-level air sports competitions worldwide and boasts an ever-increasing number of avid enthusiasts tuning in regularly to watch. Now online viewers have the capacity to watch exclusive live broadcasts of high profile competitions such as the Aero GP – the only international air racing series with multiple airplanes competing against each other at the same time (“pylon racing”).

Aero GP is already broadcast on television to over 300 million homes worldwide, now motorsports and air racing fans can get free and exclusive access to the fastest motorsport series in the world in real time straight right from their desktops.

Online viewers will be able to see each round of the most exciting and difficult competition elements, which include:

  1. Air Race – Six aircraft in the circuit at the same time racing against each other just metres above the ground at speeds of up to 500mph.
  2. Air Combat – Two pilots compete head-to-head in a battle for air supremacy.
  3. Barnstorming – Various stunts ranging from aerobatics to limbo flying. In Al Ain, pilots will compete in a real target bombing competition.
