AMD and WWCDROMs to host ‘Call of Duty4 Championship’ in Mumbai

AMD , a leading innovative technology company and World Wide CD ROMs, a well-known game distributor will be hosting a city tournament - the Top Indian Gamer, featuring the Call of Duty4 Championship at the Atria Mall, Worli. The tiered tournament will kick-off Saturday, December 27, 2008, and provide players with an opportunity to test their skills in the war epic team game with other contestants in an absolutely challenging gaming tournament. The winners will be announced on December 28 and will receive goodies worth a total of one lakh rupees and will get also featured on www.topindiangamer.com.

Two groups of five teams each will play a Team death match on the Call of Duty 4. Of these, the top 8 winning teams would move on to play an Exhibition Team Deathmatch on the new Call of Duty World at War. Each player of the grand wining team of the Call of Duty 4 will receive the award winning special over clock edition ATI Radeon HD4850/GDDR3 Graphics Card manufactured by ASUS and a Call of Duty full series pack as prizes. The second winning team will get a step down category graphics card and Call of Duty 4 title for each player. The tournament will also host Left4Dead, a 4 player co-op open for participants with age 15 and above. In addition to this, there will be a casual game Flatout2 for all ages and types, including serious gamers, kids and families with consolation prizes given for all. Gamers will compete on 22 powerful AMD Recommended Gaming Machines which have been seen lately in most of the college festivals. AMD along with ASUS will also demonstrate gaming machines on ATI Quad CrossFireX and Hybrid Graphics.
