Spice released X-1 Gaming Phone

Spice Mobiles, an Indian telecommunications company, has recently released its first gaming handset for India, targeted at young consumers who need more than just a mobile phone.

Spice X-1, the handset comes with a mini-game controller, which should offer users a pretty cool gaming experience. Moreover, there are six pre-installed games (four of them being Java-made) so that you can start playing from the first moment you get the phone.

Spice X-1 phone comes big 2.4 inch screen, 2-GB expandable memory card, is packed with pre-loaded games and a gaming console, to enhance mobile gaming experience. The dedicated gaming keys on the handset allow users play games without the console also.

Spice X-1 weighs 109 grams and measures 112 x 50.5 x 15.3 millimeters. Its battery is a 1050 mAh which should be able to keep it functional for up to 3.5 hours in talk-time mode or up to 130 hours in stand-by mode.



The rest of the features packed by Spice into its new X-1 include: a 2.4 inch TFT display with 240 x 320 pixels and 262K colors, tri-band GSM connectivity (900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) with GPRS, a 2 Megapixel camera with digital zoom and video recording, Music and Video players, 3D surround sound, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, FM radio with recorder, speakerphone, polyphonic ringtones, SMS and MMS, email, Instant Enlarge pictureMessaging, Call Enlarge pictureBlacklist (letting you block the calls from any unwanted number), Phone as Modem, voice memo, alarms, world clock, calendar, currency & unit converter, To DO list and so on. The phone's internal memory is of only 23MB, but fortunately Spice has included a 512MB card in the package.

The retail price of Spice's new gaming phone is Rs.8,899
