ViewSonic: 4 new energy efficient screens

ViewSonic has unveiled its new LCD VG28. Meets Energy Star 5.0 and EPEAT, these monitors are advertised as 30% less energy than current standards, with an ECO mode performance.

Four models make up this new range: the 20-inch VG2028wm , 22 inches (22.5 visible) VG2228wm , 24 inches (23.5 visible) VG2428wm and 27 inches VG2728wm .

Models 22, 24 and 27 inch feature full HD resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, 20-inch version for it to settle for a 1600x900 pixels resolution, and all feature a response time of 5ms. As for contrast, it is 1000: 1 for all models except the 27-inch (1200: 1).

Side connections, all models have two USB 2.0 ports and a VGA port and DVI: The VG2728wm also benefits from two additional USB ports and an HDMI port.

Models VG2028wm and VG2428wm are already marketed in the United States at the respective prices of 249 and 369 dollars, and the other two formats are expected in July to charges $ 299 for the 24-inch and 579 dollars for the 27 inches. No date of scheduled arrival in Europe at the moment but we bet it is a matter of months or weeks.
