Smartphone Nokia E72 with Symbian 9.3 OS

Swift, slim and resourceful are three words that accurately describe the new Nokia E72, which was unveiled at the Nokia Connection event in Singapore today. Nokia's latest full QWERTY smartphone brings a rich mobile email and instant messaging experience right out of the box, making it the ideal device for people that want to be productive in both their personal and professional lives.

On top of these developments, for the first time, owners will be able to set up instant messaging (IM) accounts provided by Nokia Messaging direct from the homescreen. In just a few steps, device owners will be able to connect to their favorite IM accounts such as Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk and Ovi, amongst many others.

These new IM features are complimented by Nokia's range of email solutions with a lifetime license for Nokia's mobile email and IM service, Nokia Messaging, as well as onboard clients for Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler. Accessing popular accounts such as Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail, Ovi Mail and thousands of other email service providers is simple through improved on-device email setup, with the same easy to use UI integrating all of the owner's corporate email accounts as well.

The Nokia E72 is expected to begin shipping late in the third quarter of 2009 at an estimated retail price of EUR 350 before taxes and subsidies.

Nokia N97 Mobile phone review

Nokia N97 just like 5800 with a QWERTY keyboard and advanced features, a sense of the use of these devices vary. You can not compare it with the E90, the total of these devices to be able to disclose at an angle, the convenience of the two hands. Communicators Eseries line will be different from the QWERTY-equipped devices, Nseries, and significantly. It is in relation to the keyboard, the business functions. But in the absence of continuing E90, many users will perceive the N97 as the successor, and would be right. Not at all, but replaces the flagship multimedia communicator - the most extensive and high quality screen, the center of all the latest opportunities, a horizontal mode with a hardware keyboard, the image of an expensive, unique in many devices.

Nokia N97 Feature

  • Network: GSM / GPRS / EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 UMTS / HSDPA 900/1900/2100
  • Display: TFT 3,5 ", touch-sensitive, permission 640h360 pixels, 16M colors
  • Camera: 5 MP, Autofocus, optical Carl Zeiss, Video 640x480 30 fps, double LED flash
  • Memory: 32 GB built, support for microSD memory cards
  • Communications: Bluetooth, USB, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g, TV-Out
  • Integrated GPS module
  • Stereo speakers
  • Support for widgets
  • 3.5 mm jack for headset
  • Battery: BP-4L, 1500 mAh
  • Talk time - up to 6.6 hours
  • Standby time - up to 430 hours
  • Hours in the player - up to 36 hours
  • Size: 117,2 x55, 3x15, 9 mm
  • Weight: 150 g

This is the second touch-sensitive smartphone company, N97 opens a new era in the development of Nseries - the era of mobile computers. It is difficult not to notice features of 5800 - virtually the same size, the same touch screen (though slightly larger diagonally, 3.5 inches), but the N97 simply wrong to perceive as 5800 with a QWERTY keyboard and advanced features, a sense of the use of these different devices . Flagship only slightly more than 5800, it also rests comfortably in the hand and pleasant material body, but the metal in the apparatus there is little - just edging metalized screen. The quality of assembly, and plastic is very good, one might even say perfect, the unit is cast, despite the presence of moving parts.
Nokia N97 cover shifts dramatically, with a characteristic clicking, there is no intermediate degrees of disclosure. Camera flagship line no masthead (in the same N86 uses 8 MP matrix, and wide-angle lens Carl Zeiss), but quite on the level. The module is good, 5 MP optics with Carl Zeiss, parameters are identical to the model N85. The screen in the viewfinder is different inertia, which means that we have a good level.

Settings associated with the images, quite a lot

  • Switch to video
  • Select mode (auto, custom, macro, portrait, night, night portrait, landscape, sports (for moving objects))
  • Management of an outbreak (automatic, on / off, removing red eye)
  • timer (2, 10, 20 seconds)
  • Series mode (snapshot of every 10, 30 seconds, 1, 5, 10, 30 minutes)
  • Setting Exposure (from -2.0 to 2.0)
  • setting the white balance (auto, sunny, cloudy, incandescent lamp, fluorescent lamp)
  • effects (sepia, negative, black and white, increasing the transparency)
  • ISO setting
  • Configuring anti-aliasing (three positions during the installation Hard edges of objects is too harsh, unnatural)
  • adjust the contrast (20 items)
  • Brightness (10 items)

Nokia N97 on the ideology is different from the E90, this is not an option, not the continuation, not replacement. And it will not be. Mistakenly believing that the type of multimedia computer Nokia N97 replace the device type E90, E75, where the keyboard - almost the main function. In N97 QWERTY - only addition. No more. Hence, the implementation of this function differs from the current and next-generation business units.
