Google Docs adds folder sharing

Increasingly collaborative, as seems to be the motto of Google for its Google Docs. Thus, if the user is already able to share a document or publish it on the internet it is now possible to share an entire folder containing different types of documents (texts, spreadsheets, presentations ...) . This new feature was implemented in response to user suggestions posted here.

Once the file is created, simply right click to bring up the contextual menu and choose Sharing. The user is then able to invite contacts from their choice or making the public record accessible from a specific URL. Note that licensing is easier since they are allocated for the whole package and not for each document.

In addition to some cosmetic changes, also note the possibility of uploading multiple documents in one go.

Google Chrome update

A new stable version of Google Chrome Web browser is available. The latest test version for Mac OS X would be particularly robust.

The 3.0 version of Google Chrome has once again been updated with Windows. A small change in version number to bring to 3.0.195.27 with minor corrections. They concern a problem displaying menu items with some Indian languages, the ability to blacklist a false certificate www.paypal.com, adding support authentication protocol Microsoft NTLMv2 (NT LAN Manager) used with SMB (Server Message Block).

Without further explanation, Google says that the files have now FFmpeg NX / DBCompat enabled. A change that will be explained when the new version of Google Chrome will be completely deployed. Finally, a crash has been fixed at the V8 JavaScript engine.

The development of Google Chrome with its base open source Chromium continues beyond the Windows environment. If you believe the sites on the Mac news, the latest development version (not beta) is particularly robust. Chromium does not include several features of Google Chrome in particular relating to privacy. The Mac and Linux (debian) can be obtained from this page and are not intended for the general public.
